The Poultney Fire Department will be hosting the first annual Firefighter's 5k Run and Walk on October 6th, 2012. The race is open to all and is going to be a great time! Firefighter's are encouraged to run in full gear (boots and airpack excluded). Great prizes, great music and great people!

Description

This mainly flat course is a 3.1 loop which begins and ends at the Poultney Fire House. Firefighters are encouraged to run in full "turnout gear". Registration get's you a great race t-shirt, medal, music and refreshment's as well as some great freebies. Come for a fun, family oriented race in a great setting. Great prizes for first finishers in age groups as well as the first firefighter across the finish line in full gear.

Event schedule and times

Race begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. with a fire truck air horn start.

Check-in/Registration begins at 7:30 at the Poultney Fire House.
